My lenovo z500 has a screen brightness issue. It very dim and it won't turn up no matter what I do? Thank you so much! I had the same issue with my Lenovo IdeaPad P400 Touch, and this simple fix totally cured it. Last time this happened, I took it back to Best Buy's Geek Squad (like an idiot) and they kept my computer for a week, ended up. Only problem was I couldn't regulate screen brightness which was stuck at 100%. Corel draw x6 download free version. But I chose to ignore this, until today when it dropped down to minimum. I almost can't read the screen unless I move to a dark room like I did to type this post =/ Adaptive screen brightness is disabled. I'm using a Lenovo IdeaPad Z400.

Add the acpibacklight=dealer to your grub default control line. Run the update-grub command word. blacklist the ideapadlaptop by including 'blacklist ideapadlaptop' tó your /etc/modprobé.m/blacklist.conf file. Thrustmaster control panel.
